One may ask, why would there be a bulldog on a "bakery" website?  Let me explain...Several years ago Bella came into our lives, straight from Honey Brook, PA and she was the perfect addition to our family.  Around that time June' headed to Paul Smith's College to peruse her dream of baking.  And me, well I kept busy.  I love creating new things and through the next years tried my hand at  jewelry making, crocheting, painting, wood working...well, the list continues to grow!  and so did our family...two new bully additions, a beautiful granddaughter (our first!) and Miss Bella had 9, yes nine, puppies.  Life was beautifully crazy!

As time passed my hobbies continued and the items I've made were piling up.  I decided to offer some of my creations to family and friends.   Then onto social media sites and the creation of "Honey Brook Hobbies".  Trying to think of  fun catchy name is tough!   One evening, with Miss Bella Honey Brook by my side, making her bulldog noises, known for taking her time, relaxing, being silly, having fun and simply making us all smile, I figured why not.  So yes, Bella was my inspiration for our unusually named bakery.

Shortly after I began selling items online June' had graduated and began her journey.  She was working, then began to get her own orders for birthday cakes and cookies and I could see the excitement and passion.   One day, out of the blue, I suggested we open a store front, a bakery meets gift shop with even more.  One week later we literally jumped in!  To this day people are still confused by our name, but it hasn't sopped us and people are continuing to catch on. 

 

Honey Brook Hobbies is a unique, family oriented, business.  We love our jobs!  We enjoy being part of the special moments, the gender reveals, the weddings, the just for fun kinda days, seeing smiles, bringing convenience and learning as we go.   We will continue to strive for the best and look forward to growing.
